This document provides details of the pre-requisites required to successfully complete the OTN Developer Days Oracle ADF and Fusion Middleware Development Lab that accompanies the Event.
To allow you to complete the lab on time, we recommend that you'll pre-install the following products on your computer before you arrive at the event.
Installation of the products are wizard driven and defaults should be used.
To complete the lab you'll need the following products to be installed on your machine:

Oracle XE Database
Oracle Database Express Edition (Oracle Database XE) is an entry-level, small-footprint database based on the Oracle Database code base.  It's free to develop, deploy, and distribute; fast to download; and simple to administer. Download the latest version and perform the installation accepting defaults as provided by the Wizard. During the install you will be asked to provide a system password for the XE database.
Ensure that you write down the password to use later as needed to unlock the HR schema required for the lab! Instructions for unlocking the HR schema are provided in the lab.
If you are going to use an existing Oracle database on your machine - make sure you have the HR Schema installed on that database.
