Oracle Warehouse Builder Certification Information

Warehouse Builder 11.2 and previous releases follow the Oracle Database Support schedule, as described in the Oracle Lifetime Support Policy.

Platform Information 

Client Components

Warehouse Builder client components (e.g. Design Center) are certified for Linux (32 bit and 64 bit) and Windows (32-bit and 64 bit) client operating systems (including Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 32-bit).

The client components of some OWB releases are also certified for other platforms such Windows Server 2008-- as listed in the Certification section of My Oracle Support.

 

Server Components

In general, Warehouse Builder server components are certified to run on the same platforms as the Oracle Database. For availability of a specific platform, please refer to  My Oracle Support.

Application Adapter for SAP

The OWB Adapter for SAP is certified on SAP/R3 4.6c and 4.7c and Enterprise Core Components (ECC) 5.0 and 6.0. For details about other versions contact Oracle Support.


Oracle Gateways Products

Certification information for Oracle Gateways is available in My Oracle Support, under Certification.

Oracle Workflow

Executing OWB process flows requires an instance of Oracle Workflow.
  • For Oracle Warehouse Builder 11gR1 and 11gR2, Oracle Workflow is included in the OWB installation, under directory OWB_HOME\owb\wf\install\wfinstall.*. Instructions for configuring Oracle Workflow for use with Warehouse Builder are included in the installation documentation.
  • For Oracle Database 10gR2, install Oracle Workflow 2.6.4, which is available on the Oracle Database 10gR2 Companion CD.
  • Oracle Workflow Monitor is supported and certified for use managing Oracle Workflow jobs. Workflow Monitor is not included with the OWB 11g installations, so you must install Workflow Monitor from the Database 10gR2 Companion CD.
  • Oracle Workflow Manager in connection with Warehouse Builder is not supported.
  • Oracle Workflow as covered by the Warehouse Builder license is supported for use in connection with Warehouse Builder workflows. Workflow jobs created by other means are not supported.

Releases of OWB are certified for use with the Oracle Database as described in the table below.

Oracle Warehouse Builder runs on RAC if the operating system and Oracle Database that it runs on is Certified.
