Infosys Codevelops Price Protection Application for Oracle E-Business SuiteOracle Certified Advantage Partner Infosys Technologies and Oracle have codeveloped Oracle Price Protection. This new application for high technology distributors, available from Oracle, automates price protection transactional processes and streamlines overall pricing, promotions, and product discount management. Oracle Price Protection automatically updates, aggregates, and provides access to a distributor’s purchasing, inventory, costing, and financial information. This enables distributors to reduce errors during price claims execution, speed settlements, and mitigate future discrepancies. The new application works with Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1, leverages Oracle Fusion Middleware, and integrates with existing enterprise resource planning systems. Oracle Price Protection supports claims submitted and settled for covered product inventory (both on hand and delivered to customers), open purchase orders that are adjusted with the latest inbound price list updates, rapid notification to pricing team members, and costing and financial system updates that reflect price changes in real time. Wipro and Hackett Collaborate on HR Platform SolutionsWipro Technologies, an Oracle Certified Advantage Partner, has announced that its business process outsourcing division, Wipro BPO, has selected Oracle Certified Advantage Partner the Hackett Group to provide empirical data, best practices, and performance insights that will be used in the development of an Oracle-based, outsourced human resources (HR) solution. Called simPlify, the new solution will integrate performance insights and benchmarking metrics from Hackett with Oracle’s PeopleSoft human capital management applications. Wipro will offer the combined package through its global HR delivery capability. The solution will be delivered using a software-as-a-service model, so employers pay only for the amount of service that they use. simPlify will address the needs of multinational companies across the Asia-Pacific region, Europe, and North America. HighJump Software Announces Validated IntegrationsOracle Certified Partner HighJump Software has achieved integration validation with Oracle’s PeopleSoft supply chain management applications for its HighJump Warehouse Advantage and HighJump Data Collection Advantage solutions, which provide integrated manufacturing data collection, inventory, and warehouse management. The integrations were validated through the Oracle Application Integration Architecture for Partners initiative. Fishbowl Solutions Announces Oracle-Based SharePoint AlternativeOracle Partner Fishbowl Solutions has released CollabPoint for Oracle Universal Content Management. Designed as an alternative to Microsoft SharePoint, CollabPoint allows employees and teams to share content and collaborate using the Oracle Universal Content Management platform. With minimal reliance or burden on IT, CollabPoint lets users create collaborative workspaces and organize content in a way that works for them. CollabPoint’s clean, simple interface enables users to build their own context around content in Oracle Universal Content Management. CollabPoint provides Enterprise 2.0 features including blogs, wikis, and discussion threads. Common activities such as check-in and workflow are presented through a secure interface. eVerge Launches ReadyExpress for Accelerated CRM on DemandeVerge Group, an Oracle Certified Advantage Partner, has launched ReadyExpress, an accelerated customer relationship management (CRM) on-demand solution that brings eVerge’s knowledge, experience, and expertise to bear on Oracle CRM On Demand implementations for sales force automation. ReadyExpress is available in three packages (based on the number of users) that deliver implementation in four, six, or eight weeks. All packages include tasks such as establishing workflow processes, assigning manager rules, creating custom fields, establishing field validation rules, and providing initial data migration and postproduction support. FulcrumWay Introduces Application Risk Assessment Service for Oracle ERPOracle Certified Partner FulcrumWay, a provider of governance, risk, and compliance solutions for Oracle customers, has introduced an online application risk assessment service for Oracle enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications. The new service enables Oracle ERP customers to detect gaps in internal controls, analyze segregation-of-duties violations, check configurations, examine suspicious transactions, and review financial controls—all online. Customers submit ERP information and download reports over a secure connection. Project Partners Releases User Interface ApplicationsOracle Certified Partner Project Partners has announced a new release of Project Partners User Interface Applications (UI-Apps), which enables project managers to use Microsoft Excel to access Oracle Projects applications. UI-Apps uses proprietary bidirectional communication technology to move data via XML from Excel to Oracle Application Server and Oracle Database. The predefined, role-based workbooks included with UI-Apps are designed for professional services firms and engineering, construction, and operations companies, but they can be configured for capital-projects planning in any industry. For projects that aren’t covered in existing workbooks, Project Partners’ UI-Apps Framework Designer allows the creation of custom workbooks using middle-tier XML metadata.
MapDotNet UX Supports Oracle SpatialMapDotNet UX, the newest version of Oracle Partner ISC’s Web-enabled geographic information system platform, supports map rendering, querying, and editing of Oracle Spatial data. The new version also provides support for map rendering from, and querying of, Keyhole Markup Language (KML) files. Using MapDotNet UX Studio, users can load data from KML or Oracle Spatial into supported spatially enabled databases. The Oracle Spatial connector for MapDotNet UX requires Oracle Instant Client 11.1.0.6.0. SYSTIME to Codevelop PLM Process Integration PackSYSTIME, an Oracle Certified Advantage Partner and a subsidiary of CMS Group, has entered into a codevelopment agreement with Oracle to build a process integration pack for Oracle’s Agile product lifecycle management (PLM) applications. The PLM process integration pack will include core PLM capabilities, including design release of new product definitions, product launch, change management of launched products, bidirectional synchronization of engineering change status and material attribute information, tracking and monitoring of change processing, and an error-handling and notification framework. The PLM process integration pack will enable rapid implementations of Agile PLM processes integrated with Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne enterprise resource planning applications. It will be built using Oracle Application Integration Architecture, which promotes a consistent, SOA-based approach to business process integration for both Oracle and third-party applications.
