Oracle Partners Go Platinum

Several members of Oracle PartnerNetwork have achieved Oracle Platinum Partner status, the highest level in Oracle PartnerNetwork:

INTRACOM IT Services is one of the first Oracle partners in the Middle East and Africa to attain Platinum status. The company has expertise in Oracle Financials, Oracle Supply Chain Management, Oracle Database, database security, business intelligence, Oracle Enterprise Manager, and Oracle’s Hyperion applications. INTRACOM IT Services became an Oracle Certified Advantage Partner in 2004 and has completed projects in more than 26 countries including Pakistan, Senegal, and Mali. The INTRACOM IT team includes more than 200 professionals.

ISA Consulting offers product knowledge and technical expertise in Hyperion solutions and has implemented Hyperion solutions in complex healthcare systems. The company also has expertise in Oracle enterprise performance management applications.

Xactly Achieves Validation

Oracle Gold Partner Xactly’s Incent 4.8 has achieved Oracle Validated Integration with Oracle CRM On Demand 16. Xactly Incent provides complete sales compensation management, including consolidating, scrubbing, and centralizing critical postsales data from across systems, such as enterprise resource planning and order management. The integration of Xactly Incent and Oracle CRM on Demand allows customers to boost employee productivity through increased motivation and visibility.

DARC Achieves Oracle PartnerNetwork Specialized Status

DARC, an Oracle Platinum Partner and systems integrator, has earned Specialized status within the Oracle PartnerNetwork for its expertise with the supply chain management and Oracle Financials components of Oracle E-Business Suite.

General Dynamics Unveils Ultrathin Sun Ray-Based Clients

The Itronix division of Oracle Gold Partner General Dynamics has released four new ultrathin client computers that leverage Sun Ray Software from Oracle.

The Tadpole M1000 is a 3-pound device designed for distributed, highly mobile users and general-purpose computing. The Tadpole M1500 is a high-performance notebook with a 15-inch LCD screen that supports high-definition multimedia, 3-D imaging, and video. The Tadpole Pulsar is a wireless desktop unit that handles dual displays, optical networking, high-definition multimedia, 3-D video, and imaging. The Tadpole Pulsar Premium is a wireless desktop unit for general-purpose computing.

These ultrathin clients look like typical PCs and act like them when connected to a server, but they are free of hard drives, memory, operating systems, and application software. This configuration provides protection against viruses and security issues associated with lost or stolen computers. Other features include instant-on access to customized user environments on 3G, local area, and wide-area networks; plug-and-play setup; 50 percent less power consumption than a PC; and integrated virtual private networks. 

New Oracle Gold Partners Announced

Four members of Oracle PartnerNetwork have achieved Oracle Gold Partner status:

arcplan offers arcplan Enterprise, a business intelligence solution based on Oracle Database. A decision support system for executives and managers, arcplan Enterprise provides insight into business scenarios and a transparent view of company processes. It delivers interactive real-time analysis and intelligent monitoring and management of business activities.

Areon Consulting of the Ukraine offers expertise in Oracle’s Siebel Customer Relationship Management (CRM). The company’s team has many years of experience in CRM business process automation and also provides professional consulting services in call center and contact center implementations.

TowerStrides is an IT services firm that specializes in the development, implementation, and support of business solutions and provides solutions and services for Oracle applications and technologies. The company serves federal and state governments and commercial businesses from its headquarters in Chantilly, Virginia.

Unitiv provides specialized services and solutions across the full suite of Oracle products, including applications, middleware, and database solutions. Unitiv’s approach to service delivery focuses on three core components: people to advise and support customers, products to design and build solutions, and processes to govern and manage postimplementation operations.

Oracle Selects BI Consulting Group as Business Intelligence Pillar Partner

Oracle has selected Oracle Gold Partner BI Consulting Group (BICG) as a business intelligence (BI) pillar partner for the Central West U.S. region.

Oracle has recognized BICG for its expertise in strategic technology areas such as BI, identity management, and Oracle Fusion Middleware. Oracle selects one or two partners for each region based on stringent competency requirements within a designated technology. Members of the BICG staff have completed verification testing and are supporting the Oracle field sales team by sharing implementation best practices and BI project success stories.

This recognition is in addition to BICG’s designation as the Oracle BI/Enterprise Performance Management Partner of the Year for 2009, the Oracle Excellence Award for 2008 for the creation of innovative and standards-based technology solutions, and Oracle’s Above and Beyond Award for Business Intelligence for 2007. 

Star Analytics Expands Oracle Hyperion Financial Data Quality Management

Star Analytics, an Oracle Gold Partner, has expanded its support for Oracle’s enterprise performance management offerings by adding integration with Oracle Hyperion Financial Data Quality Management to its Star Finance Command Center.

New features in Star Finance Command Center help customers extend the value of Oracle Hyperion Financial Data Quality Management in areas such as data quality, accuracy, and consistency, while bringing enhanced internal controls for compliance and reporting. Star Finance Command Center features a library of specific tasks for Oracle Hyperion Financial Data Quality Management that eliminate complex code, automating and monitoring end-to-end tasks that span multiple finance applications. This allows finance managers to integrate and maintain complex application ecosystems without pulling IT staff away from more-strategic tasks. 

BIO-key Unveils Biometric Identity Platform for Smartphones

Oracle Gold Partner BIO-key International has delivered its first mobile biometric identification and authentication platform for smartphone, laptop, tablet, and desktop users. The new platform, which can be integrated with Oracle Identity Management, captures and transmits fingerprint biometric data to a secure server for identification and authentication.

BIO-key’s fingerprint biometric identity solutions have been in use for years in retail, financial, healthcare, education, and civil applications, but their use was previously confined to laptops, tablets, and desktops equipped with fingerprint readers. Now the technology has been extended to smartphones. The release of the BIO-key platform coincides with the arrival in the U.S. of fingerprint-enabled smartphones such as the LG eXpo; more than 10 million mobile phones worldwide now have fingerprint readers.

The BIO-key fingerprint biometric software protects user privacy while providing a convenient, secure alternative to passwords, PIN codes, and tokens. BIO-key software is interoperable with numerous fingerprint readers. 

Grid Net and Oracle Deliver Integrated Smart Grid Solutions

Grid Net, an Oracle Gold Partner and a global provider of real-time, all-IP smart grid and smart home software platforms, is working with Oracle to deliver advanced distribution management systems and meter data management technology to improve power grid reliability and enable smarter energy choices.

Smart grid deployments generate vast amounts of energy usage data and require near-real-time, reliable, and secure communications between growing numbers of distributed devices. Grid Net’s software platforms, PolicyNet SmartGrid Network Management System and Smart Network Operating System, complement Oracle’s mission-critical utilities applications, including Oracle Utilities Network Management System, Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management, Oracle Utilities Mobile Workforce Management, Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Management, and Oracle Utilities customer care and billing applications. Oracle and Grid Net products operate on a common data model.

Grid Net’s all-IP platforms integrate substation automation, distribution automation, smart meters, demand response, and load management with electric vehicles, buildings, and homes to increase grid reliability, energy efficiency, renewable energy use, and customer satisfaction while reducing capital and operating costs. 

MTSI Announces CRM OnDEMAND Accelerate for Travel and Transportation Companies

Oracle partner and systems integrator MTSI has launched CRM OnDEMAND Accelerate, a bundled, integrated hardware and software solution designed for the travel and transportation industries. Based on Oracle CRM On Demand, the new MTSI solution provides a fixed-cost implementation that is designed to optimize continuity, security, and efficiency while meeting industry requirements.

MTSI has integrated a global tracking device into Oracle CRM On Demand to allow car rental companies to manage the lifecycle of vehicle contracts. The solution enables companies to track vehicle theft, overextended contracts, maintenance and repair data, and management of contracts to meet state and federal requirements. Built-in analytics tools present graphical views of revenues and costs, vehicle drive time within contract terms and across state lines, and mileage overage. If a vehicle is out of compliance, isn’t returned on time, or is stolen, the rental company can locate the vehicle and disable it.

MTSI also offers a CRM OnDEMAND Accelerate solution for growing midsize high-technology manufacturing companies. 

F5 and Oracle Streamline Access Management

Oracle Gold Partner F5 Networks’ BIG-IP Access Policy Manager (APM) solution can now integrate with Oracle Identity Management. Specifically, Oracle Access Manager can be paired with BIG-IP APM’s access control capabilities for Web applications, providing a centralized point of enforcement to simplify access control and auditing. The BIG-IP product portfolio provides context-aware user access to Web applications. Pairing Oracle Access Manager with BIG-IP APM gives remote and mobile users optimized, reliable, scalable, and secure access to Oracle applications. With BIG-IP, authentication services can be offloaded from application servers and Web servers, enabling consistent, policy-based access control across multiple applications from a central location.
