Partners Achieve Platinum Status

Several Oracle partners have achieved Oracle Platinum Partner status in the Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN), allowing them to broaden their specialization areas, receive priority placement in the OPN Solutions Catalog, achieve Oracle Validated Integration status for one solution, participate in joint marketing and sales opportunities, and receive discounts on training. Oracle Platinum Partners can also access dedicated support channels, and their queries receive top-priority handling.

Io Consulting was recognized for its expertise and excellence in implementing and upgrading Oracle applications and technology in higher education. The company provides that market with Oracle’s PeopleSoft applications, Oracle Fusion Middleware implementations, upgrades, integration, and training.

Mahindra Satyam was acknowledged for its expertise in delivering enterprise applications and providing accelerated business transformation solutions.

Optimum Solutions was recognized for its enterprisewide system implementation and consulting services related to Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft Enterprise, and Oracle business intelligence solutions.

Projected Consulting, a provider of Oracle Projects consultancy and training support in Europe, was recognized for the depth and breadth of its consultants’ knowledge and expertise in a variety of Oracle products. Version 1, an IT consulting and services specialist, is the first Oracle Platinum Partner in Ireland. It implemented the first European deployment of Oracle Business Intelligence Standard Edition One and the first Irish deployment of Oracle Database Vault.

Oracle Partners Go Gold

Two Oracle partners have achieved Oracle Gold Partner status. iWare Logic was noted as an enterprise business application consulting company specializing in the resale, support, implementation, training, and development markets. HMS Software was recognized for TimeControl, its time sheet product that supports Oracle Database and integrates with Oracle’s Primavera line of products.

Unify | CipherSoft’s Exodus Integrates with Oracle WebCenter 11g

Unify | CipherSoft, a provider of legacy modernization tools and services, has announced that its Exodus family of automated tools for converting Oracle Forms to Java now produces Java/Oracle Application Development Framework code that integrates directly with Oracle WebCenter.

Exodus automates the migration of Oracle business logic from legacy applications to Oracle’s Java EE-based environment. Because Exodus can convert Oracle Forms applications to code that integrates with Oracle WebCenter, organizations can move applications to the Web and leverage Oracle WebCenter in a cost-effective way. Oracle WebCenter Framework, a component of Oracle WebCenter, allows developers to embed portlets, content, and customizable components in applications.

Primus Delphi Group Creates Touchscreen Interface for Oracle E-Business Suite

Primus Delphi Group, an Oracle Platinum Partner and Oracle’s largest consulting partner in German-speaking Europe, has developed a touchscreen interface for Oracle E-Business Suite. Targeted for production and warehouse logistics uses, the interface relies on simple data entry forms, with users tapping screens to select records, enter numeric values, start processes, and save transactions.

No mouse or keyboard is necessary. The touchscreen solution can be implemented quickly and can improve data entry speed and reduce errors. Primus Delphi Group can customize the input forms.

Mobile BIS Introduces Route Optimization System

Mobile BIS, a division of Oracle Certified Partner BIS Computer Solutions and creator of mobile technology services, has released software based on Oracle technology that enhances the efficiency of multistop deliveries.

Schedulers using Mobile BIS software can optimize route deliveries based on variables including minimum distance, customer priority, road conditions, truck capacity, and other factors. Mobile BIS software defines business rules that govern shipping priorities, and based on those rules the system automatically generates Google maps and reports for schedulers and drivers.

Solutions from Mobile BIS are developed and implemented using Oracle Database 10g and Oracle Database Lite Mobile Server.

Quest Delivers Oracle Support to Visual Studio 2010

Quest Software has launched the Toad Extension for Microsoft Visual Studio, a database schema provider that supports application lifecycle management for Oracle Database in Visual Studio 2010.

Toad Extension for Visual Studio enables developers to perform offline design, development, and change management of Oracle databases in Visual Studio. Developers using the extension can import Oracle databases, modify and refactor databases, track changes in Visual Studio Team Foundation Server, compare schemas and merge changes, generate test data, and automate daily builds.

Toad Extension for Visual Studio supports Visual Studio 2010 Premium and Ultimate. A freeware version is also available.

Oracle Certified Partner Perficient, an IT consulting firm serving customers throughout North America, has acquired Kerdock Consulting, an Oracle business intelligence and enterprise performance management consulting firm.

Perficient is acquiring Kerdock’s team of professionals, its client roster, and its expertise with Oracle’s Hyperion enterprise performance management tools.

Oracle Expands OPN Offerings for Oracle Enterprise Manager

Oracle has announced new Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) resources and partner-driven plug-ins and connectors for Oracle Enterprise Manager.

The new OPN Oracle Enterprise Manager Ops Center Knowledge Zone allows partners to access tools, information, and community insight to develop, implement, and sell Oracle Enterprise Manager-based solutions. Using information in the Knowledge Zone, partners can work on Oracle Enterprise Manager specialization by starting OPN certifications for sales, presales, and support.

Additionally, partners with integrated Oracle Enterprise Manager plug-ins and connectors can leverage the Oracle Validated Integration program to review those integrations. Oracle Validated Integration provides access to Oracle Applications, tools, technical resources, and training to assist partners in developing integrations. Oracle and its partners have delivered dozens of Oracle Enterprise Manager plug-ins and connectors for monitoring IT technologies, interacting with management frameworks, and connecting with service management systems.

Zero Wait-State Partners with GoEngineer

Zero Wait-State, an Oracle Certified Partner, is working with Oracle Gold Partner GoEngineer to distribute DesignState, a connector for Oracle’s Agile product lifecycle management (PLM) applications. Under the agreement, GoEngineer will be an exclusive master distributor of DesignState.

GoEngineer now resells Agile PLM applications, the DesignState connector, and Dassault Systems’ SolidWorks product data management software. The three products together offer customers the means to streamline data management and leverage information across the enterprise. This allows for full collaboration across an organization and out to the supply chain.

Zero Wait-State provides engineering collaboration solutions for Agile PLM applications. The company uses its DesignState platform to help companies migrate from legacy systems to new solutions.

Xynomix Launches Cloud-Based Disaster Recovery

Oracle Certified Partner Xynomix has developed a disaster recovery solution that takes advantage of developments in cloud computing technology. The new offering provides Xynomix clients with a real-time backup of their entire Oracle Database infrastructure, stored offsite in a dedicated, secure, virtual cloud environment.

Benefits of the solution include zero data loss, database recovery time of less than 30 minutes, and no hardware or license investment. It provides protection against onsite disasters such as fires and floods and is available to midsize enterprises.

PricewaterhouseCoopers and Global Computer Enterprises Team Up to Help Federal Agencies

PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC), an Oracle Platinum Partner, and Global Computer Enterprises (GCE) are collaborating to create an Oracle technology-based governance, risk, and compliance solution for federal agencies. The solution, to be delivered on GCE’s federal Shared Service Provider Appliance, will combine PwC’s experience in helping federal agencies assess and implement governance, risk, and compliance solutions with GCE’s capability as shared-service provider for federal agencies.

The solution will help federal agencies meet the U.S. Office of Management and Budget’s Financial Management Line of Business (FMLoB) requirements.

TopDown Consulting Resells Oracle University Education

TopDown Consulting, an Oracle Certified Advantage Partner, has entered an education reseller partnership with Oracle University. TopDown Consulting will help its customers develop Oracle enterprise performance management training plans using Oracle University’s instructor-led training, live virtual classes, self-study CD-ROM courses, and self-paced online offerings.

TopDown Consulting is experienced in implementing Oracle enterprise performance management and business intelligence solutions. Its services include strategy, process improvement, change management, implementation, training, and infrastructure technology solutions.

F5 Announces Oracle Enterprise Manager Plug-In

F5 Networks, a provider of application delivery networking and an Oracle Gold Partner, has announced an Oracle Enterprise Manager plug-in that optimizes the use of F5 BIG-IP application delivery controllers.

With the plug-in, customers of F5 and Oracle can improve application availability and manage their environments from a central location. The plug-in, developed in cooperation with Oracle, provides detailed prescriptive guidance for deploying Oracle Enterprise Manager with F5 BIG-IP solutions. It also automatically tracks configuration changes and provides reports for problem diagnosis, trend analysis, and capacity planning.

Gryphon PrivacyAdvisor Earns Oracle Validation

Oracle partner Gryphon Networks has announced that the integration of its PrivacyAdvisor product with Oracle CRM On Demand has been validated by Oracle through the Oracle PartnerNetwork Application Integration Architecture for Partners Initiative.

PrivacyAdvisor integrates with Oracle CRM On Demand to deliver compliance with internal, state, and national privacy regulations in real time across all channels. It also offers bulk certification of leads prior to marketing or sales campaigns, guaranteed compliance with do-not-contact regulations, and analysis of exemptions to reduce oversuppression.

DMS Software Technologies Serves Sri Lanka

DMS Software Technologies, an Oracle Certified Advantage Partner, has created an Oracle Accelerate solution for midsize companies in Sri Lanka. The solution combines Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Business Accelerators, and geography-specific deployment expertise. The offering is geared toward midsize companies in all industries.
