The Java Pet Store 2.0 Reference Application is a sample application to illustrate how the Java EE 5 platform can be used to develop an AJAX-enabled Web 2.0 application. The application comes with full source-code so that a developer can experiment with it or use it in his or her own applications.

Java Adventure Builder Reference application

Java Adventure Builder Reference application is a J2EE 1.4 application that showcases how to design interoperable and portable Web services on the J2EE 1.4 platform. It also presents recommendations for the effective use of J2EE technologies such as JAX-RPC, JAXP, Servlet 2.4, JSP 2.0, JSTL and EJB. Documentation including an online version of the Java BluePrints book, Designing Web Services with the J2EE 1.4 Platform, is also available.
