The Portlet Container 1.0 Beta software is available as an application server extension when you install the Java Application Platform SDK Update 2 software.

Technical Requirements

The Portlet Container 1.0 Beta software is an add-on to the Java Application Platform SDK Update 2 software. Refer to the Sun Java System Application Server 9.0 Update 1 Release Notes for information on technical requirements and supported platforms.

Configuration

---

The user name and password values used to log into the Sun Java System Application Server 9.0 Update 1 software are the same values used to log into the Portlet Container 1.0 Beta software.

Known Limitations

• The Portlet Container Driver does not display a proper error message when an invalid war file is deployed.
• 
  
• ant deploy-portlet fails to deploy the portlet blueprint sample on Windows.
  

  Workaround: Deploy the portlet blueprint sample using the Portlet Driver Admin. After Ant is executed in <javaee.home>/blueprints/portlets, the MashupMapPortlet.war gets created in <javaee.home>/blueprints/portlets/MashupMapPortlet/dist/. Deploy this war using the Portlet Driver Admin tab.
