Oracle Hyperion Web Analysis (Web Analysis) software is a module of Oracle Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition Plus that delivers powerful, intuitive, Web-based interactive analytics to all corners of the enterprise. A highly graphical and easy-to-use interactive interface, it enables users to view their data in a way that makes sense to them.

Web Analysis facilitates access to packaged application and multidimensional data sources, such as Hyperion Performance Management applications, Hyperion Essbase, SAP Business Information Warehouse, and Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services. It supports drill-through to a wide variety of relational data sources, including drill-through to URL.

Hyperion Web Analysis provides a broad range of flexible, easy to use display types including grids, charts, pin boards, traffic lighting, and personalization. Users have complete control over layouts, formatting, fonts, and colors, as well as a flexible array of output options enabling wide distribution via print, HTML Web pages, PDF, and online viewing.

Web Analysis shares common administration, user management, and installation and configuration support with other Hyperion BI modules of Oracle Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition Plus. This common infrastructure provides one point of access for end users to all content while reducing the maintenance required for IT professionals.

  • Calcuation Improvements:
    • Support for advanced expressions, enabling multiple calculation functions and logical operators to be combined into one calculation.
    • New Absolute Value and Square Root functions.
  • Formatting Improvements:
    • Enhanced usability and allow for more simplified member selection in the formatting dialog.
    • Formatting can be applied to the entire spreadsheet, regardless of which members are selected.
    • Ability to change the precedence for Database Connection Measures formatting, User Preferences, and Analysis Tools formatting.
  • Dynamic row and column references: Instead of selecting members from the report to define calculations and formatting, you can select a row or column reference, and the calculation or formatting is applied regardless of the member selection.
  • Printing Improvements:
    • “Print All” open documents in the Web Analysis Studio
    • Workspace “Print to PDF” page setup.
  • Export and import "Screen" / All Documents to an from Microsoft Office documents
    • Export all report objects to Excel, screen image to Word and PowerPoint
    • Import all report objects to Excel, screen image to Word and PowerPoint
