You need to install the following software in the order it is shown.
Database If you don't already have an Oracle database installed, chooseOracle Express Editionfor a small footprint database. (Oracle XE is suitable for development only. Ignore the warning during installation about the database version as that pertains to production installations.)
WebLogic Server Download WebLogic Server 10.3.3 from theFMW download page, in theRuntime Softwaresection.
Repository Creation Utility Download RCU 18.104.22.168.0 from theFMW download page, in theRequired Additional Softwaresection.
BPM Suite& Patch Download SOA Suite 22.214.171.124.0 (baseline for BPM 11gR1) from theFMW download page, in theRuntime Softwaresection. Download SOA/BPM Suite 126.96.36.199.0 (patch that contains SOA and BPM bits) from theFMW download page, in theRuntime Softwaresection.
JDeveloper Download JDeveloper 188.8.131.52.0 (BPM Studio) from theFMW download page. Look forJDeveloper and Application Development Frameworkin theRequired Addition Softwaresection.
SOA and BPM Extension for JDeveloper Install the SOA and BPM Extension using the JDeveloper Update Center. From the JDeveloper menu chooseHelp > Check for Updates. In theUpdate Wizard, selectSearch Update Centersand ensureOracle Fusion Middleware Productsis checked (screenshot). Then ensure thatOracle SOA Composite Editoris checked (screenshot, your version may not match the screenshot exactly). The SOA and BPM Extension is approximately 200 MB each.
Oracle Web Center Suite 11g Optional:Oracle Web Center Suite can be used in conjunction with BPM for Portal enabled use cases. BPM's Process Spaces capabilities are offered through the Web Center Suite integration.The BPM Suite offers a restrictive license to use Web Center in the context of BPM and to expose business process functionality. Oracle Universal Content Management 11g Optional:Oracle Universal Content Management can be used in conjunction with BPM for document management use cases.
