Oracle Developer Depot

Are you new to Java and want to get your first application up and running quickly? Or are you an experienced Java and Web services developer trying to master a new application framework or quickly turn a code sample you found into a running application?

Oracle Developer Depot is a free software tool that automates the code "discover-to-deploy" process. It allows you to locate Java / Web services code samples or entire applications on a remote repository (the "Depot") and then download, install and run them locally in seconds. In this preview release, the Depot is located on Oracle's Technology Network OTN where a catalog of applications is ready for trial.

Install Oracle Developer Depot and you will be able to track availability of new samples and source code using RSS. Use these samples the way they are, or re-use parts you require for your own application development.

All you need is Oracle Application Server or Oracle Containers for J2EE (OC4J), the Oracle Developer Depot Web application itself and access to the Internet. Oracle Developer Depot also enables JDeveloper users to open the projects directly in the IDE with a simple mouse click.
