What's New in Oracle Audit Vault and Database Firewall Release 12.1.1


Key highlights of this release:


  • Expand Audit Collection and Firewall Protection to support for Oracle Database 12c and Microsoft SQL Server 2012
  • Add Audit Collection for Linux OS, MySQL, and Oracle ACFS
  • Add Agent Support for HP-UX 64 bit
  • Include Host monitoring support for Windows 2008, 2008R2
  • Improve installation and upgrade procedure
    • Oracle Linux 5 Update 8 disks are no longer needed during server installation.
    • Agent update operation has been improved to detect versioning difference. Post AVDF 12.1.1 release, when a future update is applied to the Audit Vault server, the agent will detect version difference and automatically download the new agent.jar file; deploy the new agent; and shutdown/restart the new agent. This means existing manual agent update step will no longer be required post 12.1.1.
  • AVDF server backup and recovery support
    1. Instructions and scripts are provided in the form of Oracle Support Note [Article ID 1556200.1]. This procedure currently applies to non-HA deployments only.
  • Stability improvements to address key issues including April PSU and CPU

This release is made generally available on June 17th, 2013. Software can be accessed via below methods:

  • Go to https://edelivery.oracle.com
