The Oracle Optimized Solution for Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure addresses every layer of the virtualization stack with Oracle hardware and software components. The solution provides all of the key elements for consolidation and virtualization of both SPARC and x86 environments. Furthermore, these solutions can be used to deploy Private Clouds with the addition of Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c. This solution is pre-tested, optimized and makes use of Oracle VM Templates. Oracle VM Templates are pre-configured virtual machines that contain optimized configurations for running applications such as Oracle Database on SPARC T4 or x86 servers with Sun ZFS Storage Appliances. The Oracle Optimized Solution for Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure enables you to reduce virtualized server deployment time by as much as five times, application deployment time by as much as 12 times, while also reducing your five-year TCO of that same configuration by as much as 50 percent over the competition.
