The Oracle Solaris 10 Data Encryption Kit provides AES 256-bit and 448-bit Blowfish Cryptographic encryption algorithms for use on Oracle Solaris 10 SPARC and x86 by technologies that use the Oracle Solaris Cryptographic Framework. These technologies include IPsec/IKE, OpenSSL, NSS and the Java Cryptographic Extensions libraries.

NOTE: Not for use on Oracle Solaris 10 8/07 or later: These strong encryption algorithms are included by default starting with this release. If the Data Encryption Kit is installed on Oracle Solaris 10 8/07 or later, cryptographic-aware applications may fail to function properly.
