Oracle VM Templates

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.0 Update 1 with ESUs and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools 8.98 Update 3

The Oracle VM Templates for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne provide a method to rapidly install JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.0 Update 1 (including all ESUs as of May 20, 2010) and Tools 8.98 Update 3. The complete stack includes Oracle Database 11g R2 and Oracle WebLogic Server 10.3.2 running on Oracle Linux 5 Update 4. The configuration consists of four Oracle VM templates:

• JD Edwards EnterpriseOne enterprise server
• JD Edwards EnterpriseOne database server, including a complete installation of Oracle Database 11g R2 Standard Edition (64-bit)
• JD Edwards EnterpriseOne HTML server, including a complete installation of Oracle WebLogic Server Standard Edition 10.3.2
• Oracle Linux 5 Update 4 64-bit to be used as the operating system for each of the other three VMs
• Review the Readme file and the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Quick Installation Guide before downloading the templates; or you can refer to My Oracle Support Article 884592.1.

The system is pretuned to accommodate up to 100 interactive users. Using standard, documented processes the system can be configured to accommodate higher loads. Customers should consult with hardware vendors for sizing recommendations.  Functional and performance testing based on the customer’s intended use is always a recommended practice prior to production use.

The package also includes a specialized installation of the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne deployment server. This component is not delivered as an Oracle VM template but installs similarly to a standard deployment server. The deployment server is required for any patching or custom development to the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne system.

Visit http://edelivery.oracle.com/oraclevm
Complete your registration information (Name, Company Name, Email Address and Country) and click on the download agreement
Select "Oracle VM Templates" from the "Select a Product Pack" pull-down menu
Select "x86 64 bit" from the "Platform" pull-down menu
Click "Go" and then select "Oracle VM Templates for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne" mediapack from the list of Oracle VM Templates
Download and unzip the files and read the readme

For large downloads, or for functionality such as download resuming, the use of a download manager is highly recommended.
