MySQL 5.1 Database Deployment Over CIFS Using Sun Storage 7000 Unified Storage System

Introduction

This paper describes the procedure to deploy MySQL database infrastructure over CIFS protocol. This example uses a Sun Storage 7000 Unified Storage System and a Sun Fire server running Microsoft Windows 2003 Server. In this case, Sun Storage 7210 Unified Storage System was used, but the procedure is also applicable to the other products in this family.
