Pain :
An American-based community college provides a mainframe based student registration system for their 35,000 students. They were having some major challenges with a tool they were using to help the development team create a web based application to allow students to register for classes over the internet. The reliability of this tool did not meet the needs of the college. Students registering for classes were constantly seeing the application fail, and classes were getting overbooked.

Solution :
Using Verastream Host Integrator, the college turned business logic and data of their IBM Mainframe based application into reusable web-services, that were next consumed by a Java based application running on Oracle 10g Application Server.

Using Verastream Host Integrator, the logistics company was able to securely service-enable key functionality in their order processing application. The Verastream generated services were included in an application based on Oracle 10g Portal, running on Oracle 10g Application server.
