Solution

HTWC contributes its solutions to the Oracle Modernization Alliance as part of building the SOA Modernization Architecture that creates a target architecture that allows businesses to migrate their applications and permits them to benefit from flexible, open and standards based systems. As a leader in mainframe modernization HTWC® understands that companies today require extreme levels of flexibility from their technology investments. HTWC® is proud to present complete enterprise platform capabilities which leverage HTWC® on the market.

HTWC has build a strong and diversified customer base all over Europe, North Africa, the Middle-East and now HTWC solutions are also now available world wide.

HTWC® supports the customer in the toughest modernization challenges including:

  • MAINFRAME rehosting
  • SOFTWARE conversion
  • SOFTWARE analysis and maintenance
  • DATABASE transformation

During past years HTWC has created, developed and distributed the XFRAME® solution on the world market. With XFRAME® it is possible to re-host applications from OS/390, MVS, z/OS and VSE systems to Linux and UNIX.  A Unikix/Sun/Clerity MTP-MBM compatibility toolkit is also available to support migration of applications running in those environments to XFRAME®.

Organizations looking to migrate away form mainframes are able to obtain the following with our solutions:

  • Saving on acquiring and managing costs of IT systems
  • Avoid the costs of changing the procedures
  • Migrating existing applications in a rapid way without any interruption of service
  • Increasing the programmers’ productivity by up to 50%
  • Easily integrate the old applications to the new ones.

XFRAME®’s design and architecture provides high performance in Linux/UNIX environments, running existing applications that take full advantage of modern SMP and/or clustered architectures, thus assuring real salability.

With a complete set of tools and utilities and a wide range of supported platforms, XFRAME provides a complete and portable rehosting solution.

XFRAME® components include:

  • XCICS Transaction Server
  • XVSAM File Manager
  • XSORT Utility
  • Smart Data Conversion Toolkit
  • JCL to Shell Converter
  • XIMS IMS/DC Compatibility Toolkit
  • XBM Scheduler

and more ...

Additionally, HTWC® provides H2R (Hierarchical to Relational) - a data migration tool that allows you to move your IMS/DB (DL/1) data structures to Oracle. H2R provides a transparent gateway to access and maintain data stored in Oracle while accessing the data in the "traditional" IMS way.
