A problem was identified that could potentially cause a security vulnerability in certain versions of AquaLogic Enterprise Security. Upgrades are available to correct this problem (see Section II). Oracle treats potential security problems with a high degree of urgency and endeavors to take appropriate steps to help ensure the security of our customers' systems. As a result, Oracle strongly suggests the following actions:

Sites with auditing enabled may be vulnerable.
Under heavy usage, audit events might be posted with incorrect severity levels. Consequently, customer filtering software might miss certain audit events.
This patch resolves the issue by ensuring that the correct audit severity is always posted regardless of load.
The following versions of AquaLogic Enterprise Security are affected by this vulnerability
- AquaLogic Enterprise Security 2.0, released through Service Pack 2, on all platforms when Active Directory LDAP server is used for authentication
- AquaLogic Enterprise Security 2.1, released through Service Pack 1, on all platforms when Active Directory LDAP server is used for authentication
- AquaLogic Enterprise Security 2.2, on all platforms when Active Directory LDAP server is used for authentication

Oracle strongly recommends the following course of actions.
AquaLogic Enterprise Security 2.0
- Upgrade to AquaLogic Enterprise Security 2.0 Service Pack 2 Cumulative Patch 1.
AquaLogic Enterprise Security 2.1
- Upgrade to AquaLogic Enterprise Security 2.1 Cumulative Patch 7 or later.
AquaLogic Enterprise Security 2.1 Service Pack 1
- Upgrade to AquaLogic Enterprise Security 2.1 Service Pack 1 Cumulative Patch 6 or later.
AquaLogic Enterprise Security 2.2
- Upgrade to AquaLogic Enterprise Security 2.2 Cumulative Patch 3 or later.
