Oracle was an active participant in the
European Information Technology Security Evaluation Criteria
(ITSEC).
Oracle pursued and successfully completed 6 ITSEC evaluations of
its Oracle7 and Trusted Oracle7 database server products.
Oracle
does not participate in the ITSEC any longer.

Overview
of the ITSEC
The ITSEC was a joint
effort betwen members of the European Union (EU) to develop a
standardized security evaluation criteria for the EU. The ITSEC is
aimed at evaluations of both products and systems (which may be
composed of many secure products and components). The ITSEC awards
successfully evaluated products (and systems) assurance level
ratings from E1 (lowest) to E6 (highest). |
