Database
The BPA Architect connects to the embedded olite database by default. You can also choose Oracle XE Universal Edition instead of the default olite at the time of installation. Ensure that the Oracle XE you are installing is UTF-8 compliant. Oracle XE Universal Edition is more stable and performant when compared to the embedded olite database. If you don't already have an Oracle XE database installed, choose Oracle Express Universal Edition for a small footprint database. (Oracle XE Univ is suitable for development only. Ignore the warning during installation about the database version as that pertains to production installations.)
