Oracle Develop 2008 Hands On Labs for Building .NET Applications with the Oracle Database Content		  

The following Oracle By Example tutorials were used at the Building .NET Applications with the Oracle Database Hands On sessions during Oracle Develop at Oracle Open World 2008.

1. Building ASP.NET Web Applications with Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio
Create a web application using ASP.NET and Oracle without requiring the developer to write much code.
2. Getting Started with Oracle Data Provider for .NET (C# Version)
Build a simple C# application that uses the Oracle Data Provider for .NET to access data in an Oracle Database.
3. Getting Started with Oracle Data Provider for .NET (VB.NET Version)
Build a simple VB application that uses the Oracle Data Provider for .NET to access data in an Oracle Database.
4. Building .NET Applications Using Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio
Create tables, indexes, and constraints, modify Oracle table data, automatically generate .NET code, and edit, compile and run PL/SQL using Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio
5. Debugging Oracle PL/SQL from Visual Studio
Debug Oracle PL/SQL from Visual Studio. A C# application that sets up and calls a PL/SQL stored procedure is used to illustrate the ability to seamlessly step from .NET code into PL/SQL and back out again.

Utilize performance tuning methods for ODP.NET developers.
7. Using Database Change Notification With ODP.NET and Oracle Database
Use the notification framework that supports Database Change Notification in the database server.

Note: All of the tutorials above were tested using Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 with ODAC 11g.
