Oracle by Example - Oracle Database 10g on VMware/RAC

Finding it hard to keep up with the latest Oracle Database 10g features and releases? Want to try Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Automated Storage Management (ASM), but don't have the hardware or time to set up an environment? The Oracle by Example (OBE) series provides hands-on tutorials that include step-by-step instructions on how to perform these tasks and more. With the OBE series, you can quickly learn and implement the latest features, and learn by doing. For example, learn how to simplify SQL statement tuning with the new tuning advisor, how to enable services in a RAC-enabled database or how to manage disks and disk groups using Automated Storage Management (ASM).

To get started, first download the VMWare software and create a VM that contains the Oracle environment with all the software you need. You can then proceed by following any OBE that you choose at your own pace.
