Oracle Application Server 10g has various components that provide the necessary middleware services for all your applications that are deployed. Depending on your application you can decide to install few components of Oracle Application Server 10g. For example, you will install the midtier component to deploy and run applications. Similarly you will install the infrastructure to provide directory, security, and user management.
