Warehouse Builder allows you to import and export metadata.
In this module you will review the simple steps to move metadata to Oracle Discoverer.
Using the Warehouse Builder metadata exchange mechanism (also referred to as
a Bridge) you move your design metadata into the Oracle Discoverer End User
Layer (EUL).
This lesson will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.

Overview
In this topic you will learn the OWB Transfer Wizard
lets you select attributes for Discoverer related properties to create a file
with the .eex extension. This file can then be imported as a Business Area into
Discoverer.
Oracle Discoverer can also be used as an analytic tool. With
Oracle9i Discoverer Administrator, you can create and maintain a business-oriented
view of the data that supports the Discoverer client tools: Discoverer Plus
and Discoverer Viewer.
1.
Using Discoverer Administrator, start the
Import Wizard and import the sales.eex file you created.
The Import Wizard will help
you import an End User Layer.

After successfully completing the Import Wizard,
the Business Area is created
3.
Import the Business Area and create a report
using Discoverer Desktop or Discoverer Plus.
Note that no additional changes are required to
query the data once Warehouse Builder
delivers the metadata.
