Oracle Content Services is a database-centric content management system that provides an integrated solution for file and document lifecycle management. Oracle Content Services enables enterprise customers to utilize one application to manage all of their unstructured information. Application Administration tasks performed by the Business Administrator involves managing users, quota, libraries, categories, content, and records at the Site and Container level. Application administration is divided into multiple administrator roles that can be assigned at the Site level only or at both the Site and Container level. In Oracle Content Services, a Site is a discrete organizational entity whose users can collaborate on files and folders. Users in one Site do not have access to the content of users in another Site. Each Site has an allocated quota that specifies the amount of content (in MB, GB, or TB) that can be stored in the Site. Site Administrators in Oracle Content Services can provide the ability to grant public access for specific items and Library creation request for the Site folder. This tutorial covers how to grant public access and how to grant requests for library creation. ScenarioMax the Business Administrator is responsible for administering all Application Administration tasks in Oracle Content Services. This includes managing Sites. Before starting this tutorial, you should:

Open a new browser window and enter the following URL: http://<OCS host>:7778/content The Oracle Collaboration Suite Content Services window
is displayed. Click Launch.

In the Sign In window, log on with your <username> and <password> and then click Sign In.

If this is the first time you are signing in to Oracle Content Services,
you will see the Welcome to Oracle Content Services page. Click OK.

The Oracle Content Services user interface window is displayed in end-user mode. Click Switch to Administration mode.

Click the Switch to Folders (folder) icon in the left of the window. Note: To ensure that you are the site-level, check that the value "/" is displayed in the Current Location field. Tip: You can select the View > Panes > Folders menu options as an alternative to clicking the icon.

Right-click the site icon in the right-pane and then click the Properties
shortcut menu option.

Click the Sharing link in the popup window.

In the Sharing popup window, select the Allow users to request Library
creation check box.

Click OK. Sign out and then close the user interface window and the Oracle Collaboration Suite Content Services window.
