Overview

Back to Topic List

Categories are a way for users to classify and manage content. When implemented and associated with content, categories can be used as search criteria. The Subscriber Administrator is responsible for managing categories. Once the Subscriber Administrator creates a category, then end-users can apply the category to content.

CompanyABC uses Oracle Files to store and manage various collateral, including write-ups on partner references. To faciliate the search for collateral on partner references, the Oracle Files administrator decides to create a category called Partner References that can be associated with this type of collateral. There are three attributes that need to be tracked: Author, Release, Status.
