An Oracle Files Subscriber is used to contain the users for a specific organization. The Site Administrator can create, enable, disable, and delete subscribers. You need to create a Subscriber before you can create users in Oracle Files. Each Subscriber has a Subscriber Administrator.

Note: In Oracle Collaboration Suite Release 2, you can only create one Subscriber.

Perform the following to change the Site Administrator's password:

1.

Open a browser and enter the following URL:

http://<hostname>:7778/files/app/AdminLogin

Login as site_admin/<your password> and click Login.

2.

Click the Preferences link.

Click the Password link.

4.

Modify the password then click OK.

Setting Site Administration Defaults

Perform the following to modify site administration settings:

1.

Open a browser and enter the following URL:

http://<hostname>:7778/files/app/AdminLogin

Login as site_admin/<your password> and click Login.

2.

Click the Defaults subtab.

3.

Update the site administration settings as necessary then click OK.

Creating a Subscriber

To create an Oracle Files Subscriber, perform the following:

1.

Open a browser and enter the following URL:

http://<hostname>:7778/files/app/AdminLogin

Login as site_admin/<your password> and click Login.

2.

Click New Subscriber.

3.

Enter a Subscriber name, select Yes for Account Enabled and click Next.

4.

At a minimum, you must specify the Subscriber Quota, the Maximum Number of Users, and the Expiration Date. Click Next.

5.

At a minimum, you must specify the Subscriber Administrator's User ID , the Email Address of the Subscriber Administrator, the number of days User is Inactive After, the default User Quota, and the default Workspace Quota.

6.

Review the Subscriber information and click Finish.

7.

The Subscriber is created.

Modifying a Subscriber's Quota

Perform the following to modify properties of an Oracle Files Subscriber:

1.

Open a browser and enter the following URL:

http://<hostname>:7778/files/app/AdminLogin

Login as site_admin/<your password> and click Login.

2.

Click the link of the Subscriber you wish to modify.

3.

Click the Modify Subscriber button.

4.

Change the Quota value, then click Next.

5.

Click Next again.

6.

Click Finish.

Deleting a Subscriber

Perform the following to delete an Oracle Files Subscriber:

1.

Open a browser and enter the following URL:

http://<hostname>:7778/files/app/AdminLogin

Login as site_admin/<your password> and click Login.

2.

Select the Subscriber, then click Disable.

3.

Confirm that you want to disable the Subscriber by clicking OK.

4.

Select the disabled Subscriber, then click Delete.

5.

Confirm that you want to delete the Subscriber by clicking OK.

6.

The Subscriber is deleted, including all its user accounts and workspaces, as well as the files contained within the workspaces.
