"This is an incredible opportunity for businesses and departments of all sizes to standardize on a world-class database running on proven, commodity hardware," says James Jech, Global Alliance Manager for Oracle, Dell Inc. "Dell and Oracle are committed to creating enterprise-class, ready-to-use technology solutions that are easy for businesses to purchase and deploy."
The shrink-wrapped and preinstalled versions are available immediately.
Oracle Information Architecture Speeds and Eases Integration
Oracle Information Architecture (OIA), a standards-based architecture that consolidates data from Oracle and non-Oracle applications, is providing partners with new ways to leverage Oracle technology. With OIA, every method third-party applications use to communicate with Oracle E-Business Suiteincluding APIs, XML messages, and Web-services interfacesis documented and available in a single repository. This allows enterprises to consolidate customer data into a single hub, enabling real-time access to information from multiple systems and resulting in a centralized view of the customer.
An OIA initiative is available on the Oracle PartnerNetwork, providing training and sales and marketing support.
On Demand Partner Opportunities
More than 250,000 end users in more than 25 countries now employ Oracle softwareE-Business Suite, Collaboration Suite, and technologythrough a variety of on-demand models. More than two-thirds of Oracle's on-demand implementations are done with partners. As hosted services grows into a multibillion-dollar business for Oracle, opportunities for partners increase, too.
Recently, those opportunities expanded via the Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) E-Business Suite Implementer initiative. Available to qualified partners, the initiative provides training, assessment, reference guides, information on the
hosting lifecycle, and more. Oracle Partners that aren't hosted-services
implementers can also earn revenue
from Oracle by referring new leads through the OPN's Open Market Model.
