The competitive pricing of Oracle Database 10g Standard Edition One is attractive to Oracle partner Boon Software Consulting, of Singapore, a leading developer of logistics solutions in Asia, specializing in warehouse management. "We know that the logistics industry is suffering from depressed margins," says Mike Boon, the company's business-development manager. "That makes return on investment (ROI) especially important. Dell offers the PowerEdge 1850 Rack Server bundled with an Oracle installation CD and a 5-user license, and the PowerEdge 2850 Rack Server with the database factory-installed, capable of handling as many as 400 concurrent users.
