"Best Practice PL/SQL" Meets Oracle HTML DB
Since its debut last summer, Steven Feuerstein's "Best Practice PL/SQL" area has become one of the most popular developer resources on OTNarguably attaining the exalted status of "microcommunity." With the recent migration of Best Practice PL/SQL to an Oracle HTML DB application, participating in that community is now an even easier and more elegant means of getting practical, hands-on advice from Feuerstein about PL/SQL coding practices.
Oracle HTML DB is an ideal platform for this community. A feature of Oracle Database 10g (with Release 1.6 also available as a standalone download), Oracle HTML DB enables the declarative development of data-driven Web applications such as online reporting and data entry systems. It is an increasingly popular tool for the development of departmental apps, especially among DBAs and PL/SQL coders, and is a major draw on the OTN Web site.
Join the Best Practice PL/SQL microcommunity at oracle.com/technology/pub/columns/plsql; more information about Oracle HTML DB is available at oracle.com/technology/products/database/htmldb. You can also download sample Oracle HTML DB apps (including the Best Practice PL/SQL one) from HTML DB Studio at htmldb.oracle.com/studio.
Visit Our New Technology Centers:
Security and Business Intelligence & Data Warehousing
The Technology Center paradigm is an unequivocal success on OTN. Every day thousands of OTN members or interested visitors point their browsers to at least one of these 13 pages for an integrated look at actionable technical content pertaining to technologies such as grid computing, Java, Web services, and XML. Last year we added two important centers to the existing listSecurity and Business Intelligence & Data Warehousingbecause of growing interest among developers, DBAs, and IT managers. Each center offers a portal-like view of contentincluding news, downloads, documentation, and technical articles and notesacross the Oracle technology stack in those respective areas.
You can access the new Security Technology Center and Business Intelligence & Data Warehousing Technology Center now from the Tech Center index.
