Hyperion Data Relationship Management

Oracle Hyperion Data Relationship Management (DRM) is an enterprise change management solution for building and retaining consistency within master data assets despite endless changes necessary to support underlying transactional and analytical systems.

As companies grow and evolve, it becomes essential to manage master data across information silos that result from mergers and acquisitions, departmental initiatives, or legacy system proliferation. Data consistency, integrity, quality and accuracy suffer and no one trusts the information and insight that ensues. Hyperion DRM provides the industry's first data model-agnostic master data management solution built to enable financial and analytical master data management in dynamic, fast-changing business environments.

Financial MDM
Create an enterprise view of financial chart of accounts, cost centers and legal entities with a view to govern on-going financial management and consolidation based on consistent definitions of financial and reporting structures across general ledger systems, financial consolidation, planning and budgeting systems.

Analytical MDM
Create an enterprise view of analytical dimensions, reporting structures, performance measures and their related attributes and hierarchies using Hyperion DRM's data model-agnostic foundation. Construct departmental perspectives that bear referential integrity and consistency with master data constructs based on validations and business rules that enforce enterprise governance policies. Synchronize master data with downstream systems including BI/EPM systems, data warehouses and data marts to gain trustworthy insight.

What's New

Oracle Hyperion Data Relationship Management, Fusion Edition V.11.1.1 Release Highlights

  • Synchronize By Property extends the existing Synchronize feature by allowing easy searching across multiple hierarchies simultaneously based on common property values. Relationships between nodes using a property value can be discovered and traversed without the creation of a query resulting in higher productivity when performing analysis of related nodes across hierarchies.
  • Migration Reports can be generated by administrators to provide offline HTML documentation for metadata extract files that are used for migration or archival. These reports provide users the ease of reference to information stored in the migration XML file and allow additional user notation to be included in the report to capture the intended purpose and usage of the file.
  • Implicit Shared Node Export Option enables the Hierarchy and Generation exports to output the implicitly shared hierarchical structure below shared limb nodes that is displayed in italics when browsing a hierarchy which has been configured for shared node maintenance.
  • System Property Category Security applies further restriction of access rights to node level properties for that category to enable users to update properties for their area of responsibility without allowing them to modify these common properties that may be used across multiple business functions.

EPM Application Templates
A collection of Application Templates are available to jumpstart the configuration of Hyperion Data Relationship Management to support Oracle EPM System, Fusion Edition applications including Hyperion Financial Management, Hyperion Planning, and Oracle Essbase. The templates consist of pre-defined Data Relationship Management metadata objects for these commonly supported applications that can be tailored to accommodate different business scenarios.

Development Kits
The Workflow and Software Development Kits are available to accelerate the integration of Hyperion Data Relationship Management with custom business processes in a flexible and programmatic manner. These kits include sample Oracle BPEL PM projects for workflow enablement and test applications that demonstrate the use of the DRM web services.
