Sample Schemas for Documentation

Sample Schemas for Documentation

The Oracle OLAP documentation contains examples that are based on a sample schema. The examples in the Oracle OLAP documentation for Oracle Database 11g Release 1 (11.1), use a sample schema that is owned by a user named GLOBAL. The Global sample schema for 11g is different from that in previous releases of Oracle Database.

Downloading the Global Sample Schema for 11g Release 1 (11.1)

From this page, you can download a compressed file that contains a SQL script that installs the Global 11g schema. The script creates tablespaces, creates the GLOBAL user, and imports a set of tables.

The compressed file also contains XML template files that define Oracle OLAP metadata objects. You can use the templates to import the metadata objects in Analytic Workspace Manager or in an Oracle OLAP Java API program. For more information on the contents of the compressed file and for instructions on installing the Global schema, see the readme file global_11g_readme.html.

To download the Global 11g schema, select global_11g_schema.zip.

Note: If you have installed a previous version of the Global schema in your Oracle Database instance, then you should remove that Global schema before installing the Global 11g schema.

Downloading the Sample Schemas for Previous Releases

The Oracle OLAP documentation in previous releases uses different versions of the Global schema. To get the sample schemas used by Oracle OLAP documentation in previous releases, see Previous Sample Schemas for Oracle OLAP Documentation.
