Hyperion Capital Expense Planning

Oracle's Hyperion Capital Expense Planning (Capital Expense Planning) software is a specialized planning module that enables users to easily plan for capital assets and capital asset-related expenses, including depreciation, maintenance, and insurance. It includes pre-defined account structures, calculations, data forms, Smart Lists, menus and dimensions that automate planning for new capital assets and modification to existing capital assets, such as transfers, improvements, retirements and impairments.

Along with all the pre-built functionality, Capital Expense Planning also includes customization tools. Pre-built calculations can be used right out of the box, slightly modified or completely re-defined using business rules or member formulas. Administration tools can be used to re-define account structures, data forms, Smart Lists, menus and dimensions.

Capital Expense Planning is also directly linked to Hyperion Planning and leverages Hyperion Essbase technologies. Thus, all changes made within Capital Expense Planning are automatically reflected in Planning allowing real-time impact analysis of capital expense plans on overall expense plans.

Capital Expense Planning shares common administration, user management, and installation and configuration support with other Oracle Performance Management applications. This common infrastructure provides one point of access for end users to all content while reducing the maintenance required from IT professionals.
