Oracle's Hyperion Planning
(Planning) software is a centralized, Microsoft Excel and Web-based
planning, budgeting and forecasting solution that integrates financial

Performance Management Architect (EPM Architect) provides a central
place to create, deploy and manage financial applications, reducing
implementation time and costs while ensuring high quality application

Hyperion Workspace
integration allows for easy navigation between financial applications
and reporting content, making planning tasks easier to perform and
speeding up user adoption. |

Offline planning
allows end-users to do most what they do online in an offline
environment so users can update their plans frequently shortening the
planning cycle. |

Users can "check
out" all planning forms and use the Hyperion Essbase MyAnalytics cube
for offline data entry and analysis using the Hyperion Smart View
client. All Business Rules within the security privileges of the user
will be executable through the planning offline Smart View Provider. |

Mass Allocation
& Grid Spreader—Mass allocation capability allows users to
perform allocations across multiple dimensions easily. The grid
spreader functionality allows end users to spread across multiple
dimensions within a web form. |

The new optional
Hyperion Capital Expense Planning module provides out-of-the-box
functionality to manage existing and new capital assets and their
impact on income statement, balance sheet and cash flow, this allows
for allocating resources efficiently and reducing expenditures. |

Date and Text
support in cells allow date based format for entry in a cell
intersection (similar to a Smart List) so that users can use in
calculations. Additionally, support the typing in of free form text
into a cell intersection on a data form. |

Split Grid
provides the ability to display two grids within the data form entry
screen. This allows end users to perform data entry and then perform
real time impact analysis. |

Calculation of
Form on Load allows for the calculation of a data form upon the initial
rendering so that the data is always current. |
|
Task List
enhancements include new reporting capabilities and the ability to
reorder and manage task lists and task list folders so that they can be
renamed, ordered, modified as necessary. |
