Creating a Server Connection

You can create a new connection profile, or modify existing connection profiles, from the Connection Manager dialog box.

  1. From the Tools menu, select Manage Connections. You can also open the Connection Manager dialog box when you sign in to the Oracle Calendar desktop client by clicking Other from the Sign-In dialog box.
  2. Click New.
  3. Enter a name for the connection profile in the Connection Name field.
  4. Enter information you want associated with this profile in the Comment field.
  5. In the Server field, enter the Oracle Calendar server name.
  6. Click Lookup to perform a search on the server to determine the nodes, and the authentication, compression, and encryption (ACE) schemes available. If the Connection Configuration dialog box opens, select one of the following options and click Configure to automatically configure your server connection:
  1. In certain scenarios, you can select a node, and the method of authentication, compression, and encryption for your connection from the available lists. Contact your administrator for more information on these options. If the server-defined option appears, you do not have the necessary privileges to configure this setting. If the Not available on this server option appears, contact your administrator.
