The Sign-In dialog box lets you access your Agenda in online or offline mode. To use your Agenda online, you must be connected to the Oracle Calendar server. When using your Agenda offline, you can view only the Agendas you previously downloaded. You can still create and edit Agenda entries, but the changes are not immediately applied to the server. The server is updated only the next time you connect to the server and perform a reconciliation between your online and offline Agendas. Refer to the "Reconciling your online and offline Agendas" topic in the online help for steps on how to synchronize your online and offline Agendas.

  1. Unless automatic sign-in is enabled, the Sign-In dialog box opens when you start Oracle Calendar. In the User name field, enter your user name or your user ID. Your administrator will provide you with this information. You can search for your name by clicking Search.
  2. Enter your password in the Password field. Depending on the authentication mechanism used by your connection, a password may not be required.
  3. To work online, you can select a preconfigured Oracle Calendar server connection from the list in the Connect to field of the Sign-In dialog box. If there are no server connections that are already configured, click Other and refer to the topic "Creating or modifying server connections" in the online help for more information.

To work offline, select Offline from the list.
