Working with other Oracle Calendar applications
The Oracle Calendar Web client can be used in parallel with other Oracle Collaboration Suite Calendar applications, including the Oracle Calendar desktop client and Oracle Connector for Outlook. Because the Oracle Calendar Web client is a Web-based application, you can use it to manage your information from any computer that has the appropriate network connections. For example, you may choose to use Oracle Connector for Outlook from your desktop computer at work and the Oracle Calendar Web client when you are away or at another computer. Or, you may find that the Oracle Calendar Web client is your preferred calendar application and use it everywhere.
Note the following when using the Oracle Calendar Web client and other Oracle Calendar applications to manage your information:
- Although most general preferences are shared between Oracle Calendar applications, some are application-specific, and setting them in one application may not be reflected in other applications.
- You cannot create Admin or Public groups using the Oracle Calendar Web client. You can do this only with an Oracle Calendar desktop client or the Calendar Administrator, and only if you have been given the appropriate administrative rights. Admin and Public groups are both displayed in the Oracle Calendar Web client as Public groups.
