Setting up your device for use with Oracle Mobile Data Sync 10.1.2 and Oracle Sync Server Release 2 (9.0.4.2.40)
|
Before you start, make sure you have:
- The necessary software to connect to an OMA-DS server: Your device may already include synchronization software, or you may have to install it from the manufacture's CD or by downloading it from the Internet. For example, on the Nokia 3650, 7650 and 92xx, you may need to download and install an appropriate version of the software, "Remote Sync."
- An appropriate network connection set up on your device: Depending on your organization, you may be able to connect to Oracle Mobile Data Sync through, for example, a GPRS Internet connection, or you may have to dial in to a corporate intranet behind a firewall. You may need to configure your synchronization software to use the right connection.
- Your sign-in information: You will need your Calendar user name, password and Oracle Mobile Data Sync URL and port number. You must configure your device's synchronization software with this information in order to sign in to your account.
