I click the Launch button on the Web Access Client Launch page, but nothing happens (or I get an error message).
Make sure you are using a supported browser and that it has Javascript enabled and pop-up blocking disabled. Refer to the Web Client Access Launch page help for more information. You may also want to clear your browser's cache and try again.

After I log in, I can see my recent messages, but my older messages are missing.
The Oracle Web Access client loads your most recent messages immediately upon login, and continues to download your older messages in the background. Your messages will continue to download until all of them have been received, or until the number of messages reaches a limit set by your system administrator. Be patient; it may take a minute or two to receive all your messages, especially if you are on a low-bandwidth network connection, such as a 56 Kbps modem.

Tasks such as resizing panes, resizing columns, and scrolling through lists of messages, seem slow.
Resizing and scrolling in the Oracle Web Access client window is very CPU-intensive. If you are using an older or slower computer, you may experience sluggish response. For optimal performance, Oracle recommends a Pentium 4 2 GHz CPU or higher (PowerPC G4 1.33 GHz CPU or higher for Macintosh) with 512 MB RAM or more.

I receive error messages about the system running out of virtual memory.
Make sure your computer meets the minimum memory requirements, and close any unnecessary applications. Oracle requires at least 256 MB of RAM for the Web Access client, and recommends 512 MB of RAM or more for optimal performance.

I cannot read my mail using the Web Access client when I am not connected to the network.
You must be connected to the network when using the Web Access client. Although the Web Access client might look and feel like a standard desktop program, it is a Web-based application that only works when you are online. To access your mail while disconnected, use a desktop client (such as Microsoft Outlook with Oracle Connector for Outlook).
