Sticky Hide and Show
|
One of the standard region templates is a Hide and Show Region template. It is a very simple dhtml construct that is efficient because it does not re-fetch the page from the server. The only real limitation with Hide and Show regions is that their state is not saved in session state. This means that if you expand a Hide and Show region, leave the page and then return, the region will be in the default state of Hide, rather than the state in which you left it, which was Show.
This code example illustrates how to use AJAX and Application Express Collections to save the state of a Hide and Show region between page navigation.
