9. SQL*Plus Support

All SQL and PL/SQL commands are supported as they are passed directly from the SQL Worksheet to the Oracle database. SQL*Plus commands used in the SQL Developer have to be interpreted by the SQL Worksheet before being passed to the database.

The SQL Worksheet currently supports a number of SQL*Plus commands. Those commands which are not supported by the SQL Worksheet are ignored and are not sent to the Oracle database. The SQL*Plus commands supported by Oracle SQL Developer 1.1 patch 2, using the SQL Worksheet are listed below.
