Oracle Forms Migration Partners

Customers with an investment in Oracle Forms wishing to upgrade and modernize their architecture have many options.  The Oracle Forms Upgrade Center contains information about upgrading to Forms on the web and integrating with Oracle Application Server.  You can then learn about how Forms can participate in the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) world, and how you can reuse your Forms skills with J2EE development on the J2EE Application Development for Forms and Designer Developers page.

For some customers, another viable option is migration of their Forms application and business logic to Java.  This page contains a list of Oracle Partners and Services that have been validated to help with migrating your Forms applications to J2EE and Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF).

This offering leverages Oracle Corporation’s Application Development Framework (ADF) and Oracle Industrial Telnet Services (ITS) to enable the effective conversion of character-based applications to a pure J2EE compliant architecture.

With Evo, existing business logic in Oracle Forms applications can be converted to Java code. The user interface for the applications is converted to JSF pages that leverage Oracle ADF Faces components to render the user interface and manage connectivity and messaging.
