System Requirements
The following are the recommended and minimum requirements to
use and install the Lotus Notes Portlets:
| Lotus Domino Server |
5.0.6a (and above), 6.x (and above)
|
| Application Server |
OracleAS Containers for J2EE (OC4J)
version 9.0.2 or later |
| Oracle Portal Version |
9.0.2 (and later)
|
| Browsers |
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6+
|
If multiple web servers are installed on the same machine (e.g.,
Lotus Domino and Oracle HTTP Server), then the web servers must be
appropriately configured to listen on different TCP ports.
Installation
Follow the instructions within the Oracle
Application Server Provider for Lotus Notes - Installation
Instructions document.
For additional details please refer to the Oracle Application Server Provider for Lotus Notes - Frequently Asked Questions.
Known Issues
- Portlets do not support an SSL enabled Domino
Server.
- Portlets will not run on Lotus Domino R5.0.3 or
lower. This is due to a Verifier error in Lotus Domino that prevents
Java applications from being able to access Domino Objects remotely
via Java/CORBA.
- While the Portlets are being rendered/displayed,
there may be some error messages displayed on the OC4J prompt (In case
of standalone OC4J). These are harmless messages,
thrown
on the console by the Lotus Domino APIs as it tries to clean up the
memory
resources. These errors will not hinder the normal execution of the
portlets.
