What's New
- Certified against Oracle Application Server Portal Developer Kit
(PDK) version 9.0.4.1.
Installation
Follow the instructions within the Oracle
Application Server SMS Portlet - Installation Instructions
document.
"NOTE: This portlet is a sample released for
test, evaluation, and education purposes. It is not supported
through formal Oracle Support mechanisms. We are, however, very
interested in receiving your feedback on this portlet. Please
post any suggestions, questions, or issues to the Portal Developer Kit
(PDK) Discussion Forum and we will respond
as quickly as possible".
Known Issues
- The portlet within this version of OracleAS Portlet for SMS does
not provide a status message of the actual SMS delivery. It sends a
success message on the show mode
screen, if it has successfully delivered the message to the Push
Service.
The actual status of the delivery from Push Service to different SMS
Centers
cannot be determined in this release.
- The portlet has been tested only with a select set of
telecom providers.
- The sender and recipient mobile numbers should be in the
specified
format mentioned in the Installation
Instructions.
- After sending a message and receiving the status message "Message
sent
to xxxx", you should not refresh the page. Refreshing the
page
will send the same message again because the browser will POST the same
data
back to the PDK framework.
- Portlet screens are not NLS compliant.
- The OracleAS SMS Portlet is not qualified, that essentially means
you cannot have 2 instances of the same portlet on the same page.
However you can add the portlet on different pages/pagegroups.
