This document describes the installation instructions when using the toplink_101310.zip file to install Oracle TopLink 10g (10.1.3.1.0).

Note: This document applies to all supported platforms. All file paths and script names are identical on all platforms. By default, this document uses the Windows file path separator (\ ). Substitute the file path separator appropriate for your platform as required. |

Additional Requirements
TopLink requires a Java Virtual Machine (JVM) compatible with JDK 1.4.2 (or higher). TopLink also requires internet access to use URL-based schemas and hosted documentation.
Use the following procedures to install TopLink standalone (including TopLink Foundation Library and TopLink Workbench). Before you proceed with the install, back up all existing project data.
Unzip the TopLink Zip file (toplink_101310.zip) into an empty directory. This is your new <ORACLE_HOME> directory where Oracle TopLink 10g (10.1.3.1.0) will reside.
When unzipped, additional steps are required to run the Oracle TopLink Workbench and other utilities. For more information, see "Configuring the TopLink Workbench Environment" in the Oracle TopLink Developer's Guide.
When installation is complete, refer to the Oracle TopLink Release Notes. To access the Oracle TopLink Release Notes from within the install, go to the <ORACLE_HOME>/toplink/doc/rel_notes directory.
For information about new features included in this release of Oracle TopLink, see the Oracle TopLink Feature Overview.

Unzip the OC4J Zip file (oc4j_extended.zip) into an empty directory. This is your new <ORACLE_HOME> directory where OC4J 10g (10.1.3.1.0) will reside.
Unzip the TopLink Zip file (toplink_101300.zip) in your <ORACLE_HOME> directory where <ORACLE_HOME> is the directory where you installed OC4J 10g (10.1.3.1.0).
