RSS (RDF Site Summary) is a format for syndicating news and the content of news-like sites. Many sites and Blogs offer RSS feed that provide an easy way to get to know what is new on them.

With the RSS Feeds Reader extension you can get these news directly in Oracle JDeveloper 10g. Working in the background, the RSS reader fetches news from the sites that interest you and shows them inside JDeveloper.

You can choose and add RSS feeds you want to monitor using the RSS option in the tools->options menu option. When new news come in a little xml icon will let you know.

Installation Instructions

1. Download the extension zip file.
2. Unzip the zip file to get the jar file.
3. Copy the jar file into the [jdev-root]\jdev\lib\ext directory.
4. Restart JDeveloper.
5. Set your preferences in the tools->preferences->RSS menu option. Remember to set the proxy settings if needed.
