Announcing JRockit Mission Control 3.1
At the time of writing (Actually that's a lie, I am writing this in
the middle of February, but lets pretend that I'm writing it now) we
are releasing JRockit Mission Control 3.1
Whats new in the JRockit
Mission Control 3.1 release? The part that a user will notice first is
the completely revamped interface. All the information that you are
used to finding is still there, but now the tabs are grouped
differently. We are also adding a few Import/export functions that will
make it easier to move your settings from one machine to another. The
eclipse support and the JDK versions have been updated. |

 |
The interface has been completely reorganized.
New bars with "Categories" has been introduced.
Selecting a category will show an overview page for that category,
and a number of tabs depending on the category.
As always with JRockit Mission Control, it is very hard to describe the product in text and screen shots.
You are strongly encouraged to download and play around a bit with the new version.

Import/Export triggers
|
|
It is now possible to export and import JRMC triggers.
This allows users to move entire sets of triggers between computers,
and even to add their triggers to version control if the should so wish.
Included in this version are also a set of sample triggers.
|
|
Import/Export connectors
|
|
In line with the Import/Export triggers functions we now also allow users to save and
load their Connectors. Data is saved in an encrypted format (SHA-1 and 3DES-EDE)
so potentially sensitive information like passwords is protected.
|
|
Diagnostics commands
It is now possible to execute JRockit Diagnostics commands directly from JRMC.
All available commands are listed, and executing them is as easy as pressing a button.
|
Upgrades
The Eclipse support is upgraded to 3.3. The JDK versions for the underlying JRockit JVM are now 1.4.2_19, 1.5.0_17 and 1.6.0_11
|
Extension points
JRockit Mission Control now exposes a selected set of extension points that will allow programmers to create their own JRMC plug-ins. In this release, the function is a proof of concept for plug-in developers. For the next release we will release extension points for all of JRMC.
