The Oracle Database Lite Client database is a small, SQL92 and ACID compliant relational database ideal for both embedded and mobile application development scenarios.
The Oracle Database Lite Client features a fast kernel and requires zero administration. The database provides built-in Java/C/C++/.Net stored procedures and triggers and can support up to 4GB of relational data and BLOB support is limited only by the file system (up to 16 TB) making the database ideal for embedding in multimedia applications. The client database also makes available standard 128-bit AES encryption and can be compressed for additional efficiency for use with lightweight devices. Finally, support for JDBC, ODBC and ADO.Net gives developers maximum flexibility in application development.
The Oracle Database Lite Client provides utilities for encryption/decryption, validation, bulk loading/unloading and a command line SQL interpreter. Furthermore, developers can optimize queries using various tools to understand query plans and optimize index structures.
