Configuration Management

In an organization with a large and complex IT environment, managing the configuration for software and hardware is often time consuming and error prone. Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g automates the process of managing configurations and deployments by centrally tracking hardware, software installations including patch levels and software configuration data for every service and system that it manages.

Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g provides capabilities such as automated discovery of technology components, services, systems and the dependency relationships between them. It also provides the ability to search the CMDB for configuration data, the comparison of configurations across all systems, historical change tracking, policy management and compliance support, and comprehensive reporting.
