Released as part of Oracle Collaboration Suite, Oracle Files is a robust file server replacement application with enhanced collaboration and content management features. Built on Oracle database technology, Oracle Files stores all of your documents in a single consolidated, Oracle database, which saves money, increases productivity, and protects valuable data.

Collaborate Efficiently and Securely

Run your company more efficiently with Oracle Files enterprise collaboration features:

  • Collaborate easily and securely by setting up workspaces. A workspace can store all the content for a formal organization, virtual team, or any other logical grouping.
  • Protect your data from falling into the wrong hands with role-based security. You control who has access to your data, and you can even specify they type of access granted. Additionally, each user has a private workspace for personal or extremely sensitive content.
  • Uploading or migrating content has never been easier, and with a variety of standard protocols to choose from, you can upload a single piece of content or multiple files in no time. Oracle Files supports HTTP/WebDAV, FTP, SMB, AFP, and NFS.
  • Locking, versioning, and approvals help prevent users from overwriting each other's work.
  • Stop sending/receiving email attachments! By sending email links directly from the application to documents located in Oracle Files, you ensure that users are always working with the most current version available instead of distributing multiple copies of the document in users' mailboxes.

Find Your Content

With all of your content located in a single database instance, it's easy to search for the data you need. In addition, the full text search capabilities and the option to add categories (metadata) to your files enable you to find the right content even faster.

Consolidate Your Content

Ensure that you are always working on the latest version of your content. With all of your content in a single location, file duplication is significantly reduced, so you can be confident that you are collaborating on the most current version of your files.

Provide Easy User Adoption

Change the way you do business, but don't force your employees to change the way they work. Native protocol server support lets users access content through drag and drop, edit in place, and other familiar ways of interacting with a file server. In addition, an intuitive Web user interface provides another view, with all actions supported through a browser.

Oracle Files UI

Access Data Flexibly

Keep in touch with your data anytime, anywhere, from any computer with an Internet connection and a browser. If you do not have Internet access, the FileSync feature in Oracle Files allows you to work offline and synchronize any changes you have made to your content with only a click of a button.
